Want to get involved with a great bunch of guys?

If you like singing and can carry a tune and match pitch, then give Detroit Together Men’s Chorus a try.  We are a non-auditioned chorus. We have members of all different levels of singing and musical abilities.  We have members who don't read music, members with college degrees in music, members who have never sung with a chorus before and members who have sung with professional touring choruses, and probably everything else in between. You will be asked to sing a little for our Artistic Director so he can decide which section you will sing in. As a group we support each other as we study and practice and aim for musical excellence.  So if you like singing in the shower or serenading your pets, then come and give the Detroit Together Men’s Chorus a try!

(Singing members are required to contribute musically to our mission, agree with our mission, attend rehearsals and performances, and pay membership dues.)

There are also very important roles for non-singing members. If you don't like to sing, but you love Detroit Together Men’s Chorus, you can play an integral part!  We often need non-singing members that can contribute by supporting the business operations of the organization . . . marketing, fund-raising, and ad sales . . . as well as Concert related tasks, such as set/costume designer, choreographers, dancers, musicians, assistance with concert production, and preparing the reception are just a few of the volunteer opportunities available.

The Board of Detroit Together Men’s Chorus provides strategic guidance and oversight of the activities of the organization and through its committee structure assists with detail planning and assessment of its member programs and events.  Volunteers are needed for service both on the Board and as non-Board committee members.  The committee structure for DTMC includes association services, events, and communications.  If you are interested in learning more about either Board or committee service please email BdofDir@dtmc.org for more information.

However you end up being involved, you can be sure that you will find a group of people who love to sing, love to have fun, love to perform and love to have fun while creating beautiful music!

If you would like to sing with Detroit Together Men’s Chorus, (interested musicians are also invited to seek membership) join us at our weekly rehearsals!  We meet every Tuesday night from 7:00pm to 9:30pm +/- in the Fellowship Hall of Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church, 2441 Pinecrest in Ferndale.  (Click here for a map.)

Detroit Together Men’s Chorus does have attendance and dues policies that we will be happy to explain when you visit us.  Even if you think you can't afford it, please come and try us out.  We have sponsorships available.
