How much  are the chorus dues?

Singing and support members pay just $20 per month during active/rehearsal months (Semester 1 <September thru December> = $80, Semester 2 <February thru June> = $100; $180 per year).

Are my donations tax deductible?

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations to Detroit Together Men's Chorus are tax deductible.  This does not include dues.

Are there ways to get to get involved with DTMC as a non-singing member?

Yes.  You can become involved as a support member, Gem, or Corporate Supporter

(such as  ).

There are also very important roles for non-singing members. If you don't like to sing, but you love Detroit Together Men’s Chorus, you can play an integral part!  We often need non-singing members that can contribute by supporting the business operations of the organization . . . marketing, fund-raising, and ad sales . . . as well as Concert related tasks, such as set/costume designer, choreographers, dancers, musicians, assistance with concert production, and preparing the reception are just a few of the volunteer opportunities available.

Where and when do you hold rehearsals?

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday night during practice season (typically, Semester 1 runs from mid-August through the Holiday Concert in December; Semester 2 runs from mid-January through the mid-June) from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at Drayton Avenue  Presbyterian Church at 2441 Pinecrest in Ferndale.  (Click here for a map.)  Our rehearsals are in the Fellowship Hall in the lower level below the main sanctuary.

Do I need to pass an audition in order to become a singing member of the chorus?

Although there are no formal auditions, members must be able to match pitch; members are given annual voice checks to best determine their section placement.
