Audition/Vocal Placements

DTMC is open to men of all ages, sexual orientations, and those who identify as male. We are a TTBB chorus (Tenor I, Tenor II, Baritone & Bass) performing a wide variety of music styles. Auditions are painless, consisting of a simple voice check, placement and pitch recognition/memory.
Music is a universal language that has inspired, educated and entertained throughout history. It speaks to our emotions regardless of race, nationality, gender, age or sexual identity.
Detroit Together Men’s Chorus is one of the first gay choruses in the nation, founded in 1982 with this clear mission: Contribute to, and transform our community through music. Since then we have always carried a message of hope and unity.
